Terms and Conditions for True Note Studios

Welcome to True Note Studios! By enrolling in our lessons and services, you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions. Please read these carefully. These terms apply to all students, and their guardians (if applicable), and are designed to ensure the best learning experience for all.

1. Term Dates and Term Period

• True Note Studios generally follows the NSW school term dates. Term dates, including public holidays, will be confirmed prior to the start of each term.
• The True Note Studios "Term Period" includes the NSW school term and the two-week school holiday period immediately following that term (e.g., Term 1 Period = Term 1 + Autumn Holidays).
• Exception: The Term 4 Period does not include the summer holidays.

2. Payment for Lessons

• Payments for lessons can be made via bank transfer or in cash. Instructions for bank transfers will be provided.
• One-off lessons and trial lessons can be booked through our website using Stripe.
• For bookings of 8 or more lessons within a Term Period, you qualify for our "Term by Term" discounted price, which is 10% off the standard lesson rates.
• Prices for the discounted "Term by Term" rate are rounded to the nearest dollar.

3. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

• Cancellation and Rescheduling: Lessons cancelled with at least 24 hours' notice will be granted a makeup credit, allowing the lesson to be rescheduled. The number of allowed reschedules depends on the total number of lessons booked within a Term Period, as follows:
  • 1 to 4 lessons in a Term Period: 1 reschedule allowed.
  • 5 to 8 lessons in a Term Period: 2 reschedules allowed.
  • 9 or more lessons in a Term Period: 3 reschedules allowed.
• Makeup Credits: Makeup credits must be used within seven (7) days after the last scheduled lesson in your booking for that Term Period. This means that if a lesson is cancelled in the last week of a Term Period, the rescheduled lesson could occur during the first week of the next Term Period. However, makeup credits do not roll over beyond this 7-day period.
• Rescheduling Limitations: Rescheduling is provided at the discretion of the studio. While we strive to reschedule lessons with your regular teacher, this may not always be possible. In such cases, a different teacher may conduct the makeup lesson. If rescheduling cannot be accommodated within the specified timeframe, the lesson may be forfeited.
• Late Cancellations: Lessons cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled time will be automatically forfeited, with no makeup credit issued.

4. Teacher Absences

• In the event a teacher is unavailable due to illness or other circumstances, we will reschedule the lesson. If rescheduling is not possible, a lesson credit will be issued. This credit means the corresponding amount will be deducted from any booking made in the following Term Period.

5. Term by Term Pricing

• To qualify for the 10% discounted "Term by Term" price, students must book 8 or more lessons within a Term Period.
• If you know in advance of specific dates you will be away, please inform us before the term begins. The 8-lesson requirement still applies to qualify for the discounted rate.

6. Photography and Video Usage

• True Note Studios reserves the right to use photos and videos taken during lessons or performances for promotional purposes, including on our website and social media platforms.
• If you do not wish for any photos or videos of yourself or your child to be used, please inform us in writing.

7. Changes to Terms and Conditions

• True Note Studios reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. The most current version of the terms and conditions will always be available on our website.

8. Liability

• True Note Studios takes all necessary precautions to ensure the safety and well-being of our students. However, True Note Studios is not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage to personal property while students attend lessons or events, either in the studio, at their home, or online.
